Finnish national environmental accreditation body Motiva Services announced that a variety of Tikkurila products have been awarded the authoritative Nordic Swan ecolabel, including the Nova series that is honoured with the eco accreditation for the first time.
The Nova series comprises Nova Plast 2, 7, 12 and 20, among which the former two are locally available and well-received by customers.
Nova Plast 2 produces a full-matt finish and can be used both as a top coat and a primer. It is also suitable for use on ceilings. A super low-odour and super eco-friendly paint, it effectively covers small cracks and is alkaline resistant and easy to apply.
The Swan is the official eco-label in the Nordic countries. It directs consumers to select products that are kinder to the environment and encourages manufacturers and service providers to produce such products. Paints labeled with the Nordic Ecolabel fulfil not only the strict environmental but also tight quality requirements, which cover the entire life-cycle of the products from raw materials to the manufacturing of the products, their use, and disposal of waste.Nova Plast 7 is a solvent-free waterborne latex paint for professional interior painting. It is ultra-low odour and super environmentally friendly with excellent breathability. A super stain-resistant formula allows its coatings to effectively prevent the walls from absorbing pollutants. It is highly scrub-resistant with good hiding power, and can effectively cover minor cracks. Nova Plast 7 is quick-drying, easy to apply, and looks newly painted after a long time.
