A waterborne exterior paint pioneering the use of nanotechnology that creates a self-cleaning function with its nanoparticles effectively preventing the accumulation of dirt on its coating. It also possesses superior hiding power. Surfaces treated with HybriSil are tough and hard, and are therefore durable and scratch-resistant, maintaining a decent outlook of the building for many years. | Preparation: |
Unpainted surfaces: Clear all dirt and dust from wall surfaces. Concrete structures must undergo a heat cycle to prevent the easy deformation of components. Any glass-like stones in the concrete can be treated with sandblasting. In case of there being too much cement binder, it can be cleared using sandblasting, wire-brushing or sand-washing. It is recommended that the cement wall be painted 1 to 2 months after it has solidified. Painted surfaces: Remove any loose or chalking paint from the wall surface. The removal method to be selected will depend on the substrate strength and means of construction, including the use of wire-brushing, high-pressure water and sand-washing. Cracks in the concrete may be opened to check for the presence of any rusty steel. |
| Primer: | Finngard Primer is used for treating the substrate. |
| Maintenance: | Wash the exterior wall carefully only after a month of painting. After washing, a watermark may be left on the wall making it conspicuous along the edge of the washed area. Algaecides or cleaning chemicals may be used to remove algae and mildew. |
| Environmental and waste disposal | Empty tins should be recycled or disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Liquid waste should be destroyed according to the local regulations. |
