Description

Waterborne special paint for indoor use with strong magnetic attraction for magnetic materials. Though not scrub-resistant, it can be painted with a colour coating of your choice on top to make it more scrub-resistant and better looking.  However, thick topcoat layers can reduce the adhesion of magnets.
Recommended uses: Concrete, plasterboard, chipboard and filler-treated surfaces.
Country of Origin:  Finland
Coverage:
Colour: Graphite Grey
Gloss grade: Matt
Application conditions: The surface to be painted must be dry and the temperature at least 10 °C and the relative humidity of the air below 80 %.
Cleaning of tools Remove excess paint and clean the tools with water. Washbowl has to be washed carefully, because the iron that the paint contains can dye.
APPLICATION DETAILS
Application method: Scrapping
Preparation: Unpainted surfaces:  Clean dust, dirt and loose material from the surface. Level the holes and cracks with a suitable filler, if necessary. Prime unpainted surfaces with e.g. Feelings Universal Primer.  Previously painted surfaces:  Wash down previously painted surfaces with a diluted cleaning agent and rinse carefully with water. Grind glossy surfaces matt with sandpaper to assure best possible adhesion. Remove sand dust.
Painting: Stir Magnetic Paint well before use and every now and then during use. Paint 2-3 times using plenty of Magnetic paint and short-fluffed roller or brush. Do not thin with water!
Drying Time: Touch dry after 4 hours. Let dry 24 hours between the coats.  Finishing can be done after one day if needed. The final coat of coloured latex paint should not be painted too thick, or the magnetic adhesion will be affected.

Maintenance instructions:

Cleaning should not be undertaken until after 1 month from painting at the earliest.  Clean the surfaces rather as dry cleaning using aspirator, smooth brush or duster. Using damp cleaning cloth can leave a trace on the surface. Upon completion, the surface should be treated carefully for a couple of weeks, because the paint attains its final hardness and durability in normal conditions after approx. 1 month.
Environmental and Waste Disposal: Empty cans should be recycled or disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Liquid waste should be destroyed according to the local regulations for hazardous waste.
Storage: Keep the cap intact and protect from frost.
Shelf Life: 3 years with the cap still intact. The expiry date is marked on the tin.
